What is Breathwork?

Breathwork refers to various breathing exercises or techniques performed to improve physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, gain valuable insight into yourself, and gain more clarity and focus. These practices can vary widely but generally involve conscious control of breathing patterns. Two common types of breathwork include nasal breathing and open-mouthed breathing.

Nasal Breathing: This method is often promoted for its calming effects, as it helps filter and humidify the air, and enhance oxygen uptake and circulation.

Open-Mouthed Breathing: This technique can be used to achieve faster breathing rates and deeper breaths, often employed in more vigorous forms of breathwork to release emotional blockages and increase energy flow.

What does it involve?

Each session is fully guided by Caroline – a fully qualified breathwork coach – ensuring participants are supported and can progress at their own pace. The classes are intentionally kept small to provide personalised attention and a more intimate experience. The classes start with a gentle practice, gradually increasing in intensity as participants become more comfortable and experienced.

What to Bring: Participants should bring a mat, a blanket, and a pillow for their comfort.

Support: Participants are always supported by Caroline, ensuring they receive personalised attention and guidance throughout their breathwork journey.

Caroline is an award-winning singer-songwriter, experienced vocal coach, and fully certified breathwork facilitator with over 30 years of experience in the music industry. Caroline has trained with the esteemed School of Seven Directions Breathwork and is passionate about this practice, which explores mindset, lifestyle, creative consciousness, heightened awareness, and daily routines that challenge limiting ways of thinking and being. Her holistic approach to breathwork not only enhances vocal performance but also fosters personal growth and transformation.
